2. Carefully push Top and Bottom Sidewall
Sections together until Tongue and Groove of
each panel are together.
3. Locate 2 Sidewall Connector Blocks (pre-
drilled) and position where gap exists between
framing of Top and Bottom Sidewall.
4. With Connector Block positioned flush with Sidewall
Framing, screw down into wall with 2 - 1 1/4” screws.
Don’t overtighten or screw will protude through wall.
5. Complete 2nd Sidewall Connector Block
as per Step 4.

6. To complete Sidewall, locate Sidewall Rear Cleats (11/16”t x 1 1/2”w x 67 3/4” long) and attach
Cleat to Sidewall framing so it is positioned flush on the bottom. Use 4 - 1 1/2” screws to secure.
Complete both Sidewall Panels before moving to Step 7.
8. Attach Backwall Corner Panel to Sidewall Panel with 4 - 1 1/2” screws. Screw from Backwall
Corner Panel into Sidewall framing evenly spaced from top to bottom.
7. Locate 1 Backwall Corner Panel. Position so backwall framing in corner is recessed from edge.
Note, when Backwall Corner Panel is sitting upright, framing of panel will sit flush on bottom of panel.

10. With both corner sections positioned on the ground, lay the 20” wide Backwall Center Panel
between corner assemblies. Note, once again, Backwall Center Panel framing will be flush at the
bottom of the panel with a slight gap to the top.
9. Complete both corner sections then lay each section carefully on a FLAT SOLID SURFACE
with the Backwall facing the ground.

11. Position Backwall Center Panel so framing of corner assembly and Backwall Center Panel
meet and are flush with one another. Locate 1 Backwall Cleat (11/16”t x 2 1/2”w x 67 3/4”l) and
position overtop of wall framing.

12. With Backwall Cleat (2 1/2” wide) positioned equally from side to side on wall framing and flush to
the bottom, attach with 6 - 1 1/2” screws equally spaced from top to bottom. Make sure 3 screws enter
Backwall Corner framing and 3 enter Backwall Center framing. Move remaining corner assembly flush
against Backwall Center Panel framing.
13. Position and attach 2nd Backwall Cleat as per Step 12.
14. Locate both Floor Panels and place upside down on a flat level surface. Attach outside Floor

15. Use 1 1/4” screws to secure Side Plates to Floor Panel. To complete a floor section, place 1
Floor Joist (11/16”t x 1 1/2”w x 32 3/4” long) along seam of plywood in the middle of floor section.
Drill 1/8” diameter pilot hole to prevent splitting wood.
16. With Floor Joist centered on plywood seam and tight fitting against plywood, attach with 1 - 1
1/4” screw per side. Complete both Floor Sections.
17. Carefully slide both completed Floor Sections together. With both sections flush, attach
together with 4 - 1 1/4” screws. Carefully flip floor over and further secure Plywood Floor down to

be level for doors to be aligned
properly.
If your doors are not aligning
correctly, it may be necessary to
shim the Grand Garden Chalet to
fix the problem.
38. Locate both Roof Panels and place with roofing paper
and framing up on level ground. As with Floor Panels, slide
Tongue of one panel into the Groove of the adjacent panel
until tightly fitting.
Note, Roofing paper of each Roof Panel will overhang on
the inside of each Panel. Tuck one under the other.
39. Locate both Roof Connector Blocks (11/16”t x 1 1/2”w x 4 7/8” long). Blocks will be positioned and
attached where gaps between roof framing exists. Use 2 - 1 1/4” screws in Pre-drilled holes of Blocks to
secure. Next attach 24” long Center Support Cleat centered on roof seams. Use 4 - 1 1/4” screws to
secure (2 per roof panel). When complete, your finished Roof Section should be 34 1/4” deep x 68” wide.

44. To mount Shelving, first attach Front and Rear Storage Shelving Supports. The Rear Support is
22”long and the Front Support is 10 1/2” long. Measure height to ensure your shelf is level prior to
attaching each support. Use 2 - 1 1/2” screws to secure each Support. Complete Supports for 2 Shelves.

46. To complete the Grand Garden Chalet, install all the remaining hardware; the Door Pull Handles, the
Exterior Black Sliding Latch and the Interior Silver Barrel Bolt . Pull Handle position is arbitrary. Mount with
3/4” Screws provided. Install Exterior Black Sliding Latch to door without Vertical Overlap Flange. When in
correct position, mark first and then attach. Use 3/4” Black screws provided. Close door and attach Receiver.

Chalet is now complete.
Congratulations and thanks for purchasing one of our Grand Garden Chalets!
Note; The Grand Garden Chalet is shipped as an unfinished product. If exposed to the elements, the
western red cedar lumber will weather to a silvery-gray color. If you prefer to keep the cedar lumber
looking closer to the original color, we suggest that you treat the wood with a good oil base wood
stain. You may also wish to paint your new Grand Garden Chalet rather then stain it. In both cases
we recommend that you consult with your local paint and stain dealer in your local area for their
recommendations.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about your Grand Garden Chalet, please
